About us

A place for people who want AI to go well

AI is getting more capable every year, and making it safe needs far more people than it has. Most of that work happens in a few cities. It doesn’t have to.

Our mission

Help people in Utah learn about AI safety, find each other, and start contributing, through research, policy, engineering, or whatever they do best.

Why Utah

Strong universities, a growing tech industry, and the country’s first state office for AI policy. What’s been missing is a place for the people who care about this to meet.

How we work

We start small, borrow before we build, and work with the groups already doing good work in Utah. Newcomers and people across the political spectrum are welcome.
